The short version
JustMyMenu helps you find dishes that fit how you eat. We collect the small amount of information you type into our forms, plus anonymous usage data that tells us which pages people find useful. We do not sell personal information, and we never share your health reasons with a restaurant — because we never ask for them.
What we collect
- Information you submit in forms. Your email address and city if you join the launch list; a restaurant name, city, website and optional note plus your optional email if you request a restaurant; and restaurant name, contact name, phone, email and city if a restaurant owner applies to get certified.
- Account information. Restaurant owners and staff sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address and profile image from Google — never your Google password.
- Usage information. An anonymous browser ID we generate, the pages and dishes you view, which editions you select, and menu QR codes you scan. This is how a restaurant sees that its lighter dish gets ordered, without anyone seeing who ordered it.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find the site and which pages work. It sets cookies and records approximate location, device and referring source.
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your medical conditions, medications, diagnoses or dietary reasons, and there is nowhere on the site to enter them. Edition names describe the plate, not the person ordering it. We also do not take payments from diners, so we hold no card details.
Restaurant requests are anonymous
When you request a restaurant, the restaurant sees only that people are asking for certified editions and how many. Your name, email and any note you leave stay with our team and are used only to follow up with you or with the restaurant on your behalf. Your identity is never passed to the restaurant.
How we use it
- To run the site and show you accurate menu editions.
- To contact restaurants about getting certified, and to reply to you.
- To email you when your city goes live, if you asked us to.
- To measure demand, so we know where to launch next.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that make the site run — our hosting and database provider, Google for sign-in and analytics, and our email provider — and only so they can perform that work for us. We will also disclose information if the law requires it.
Keeping it and deleting it
We keep what you submit for as long as we need it to operate the service, then delete it. Email us at hello@justmymenu.com and we will send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No hoops.
Children
JustMyMenu is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Editions are not medical advice
Every edition is reviewed by a registered dietitian against the restaurant's real ingredients, but it is general food information — not medical or dietary advice for your situation. If you have a serious allergy or celiac disease, always tell the staff directly. See our Terms of Service for more.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell people on the site. Questions go to hello@justmymenu.com.
